Already in the first 12 months, we've received 3 times in awards what we spent on GDSgrant services, but the biggest take-away has been the time it has given me to just be an Executive Director. We have grown so much already, and not just in terms of dollars.
Rachel Waterman is a true professonal. I would look forward to any chance to work with her again at anytime. She is an exceptionally hard worker with deep resources of talent. She is a gifted orator who commands attention and has so much to offer. Her seamless transition from Colleague to Coach is apparent to all who get to know her. Her deep commitment to providing truth and integrity are an inspriration to all. I cant say enough about her obvious strength of character and tireless work ethic. She is highly recommended by me. Any company fortunate enough to retain her, will surely excel for doing so.
Rachel possesses the utmost professionalism and expertise in the field of economic impact research methodology and design. With her natural curiosity and sheer love of research, it is a pleasure to work with her on projects. Rachel is able to educate non-research oriented colleagues to come to a point of complete understanding of the data, manage multiple aspects and easily adjust to the ?zigs and zags?of implementing a complicated project. She delivers results which are relatable, actionable and address the needs of the client.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Rachel Waterman for a number of years. I first met her when I sat in her grant training workshop. Since then I have reached out to Rachel to utilize her extensive nonprofit expertise. Rachel is beyond knowledgeable about grant writing, prospecting, reporting and budgets. I have been in the nonprofit world for over 13 years as a founder, and Executive Director and still learned so much from her workshop. She is a pleasure to work with and makes learning fun. I highly recommend Rachel for any of your nonprofit needs.
The vision and vitality informing Rachel’s work comes from the rare combination she brings to all endeavors: commitment and compassion, brilliance and boldness, strategy and service. She is a leader and a doer who cares deeply about all people and communities. Her global experience translates as well to local action. There is no professional more trustworthy to effect change and ensure the job gets done at its most superior and resourceful level. She treats others no matter their role with great respect and kindness. Her track record of achievement is a testament to her exemplary work ethic.
Outstanding grant expert. Highly talented, professional, effective and great to work with.
Rachel is an enthusiastic public officer and maintains good contact with the public. She did a great job as Mayor of the City of Lake Worth
A committed truth seeker, always goes to the far reaches of available knowledge to fulfill her task, Rachel will provide the work requested in a complete and timely fashion. A good friend, a resourceful grant writer, a great Mayor, an admirable leader. Jo-Ann Golden
Rachel has been been writing grants for my nonprofit Women of a Certain Age since i received my initial award at the end of 2009. She has been patient with my ineptness at non profit work in explaining and guiding me to find appropriate grants and then doing all the work to create a finished document with my input as the process proceeds. Rachel is prompt, supportive, knowledgeable and I will give her my best recommendation.
